Overview

The Blasphemous Blade Faith build is one of the strongest and most comfortable PvE builds in Elden Ring. The Blasphemous Blade heals you for 6.5% of your max HP on every kill and its weapon art Taker's Flames deals massive fire damage in a wide cone while also healing you. This self-sustaining playstyle means you can clear entire areas without using a single Flask.

The build is a Faith/Strength hybrid, stacking FTH for maximum incantation damage while meeting Blasphemous Blade's STR requirements. Buff with Golden Vow (+15% attack and defense) and Flame, Grant Me Strength (+20% physical and fire damage) before boss fights for devastating burst damage.

Rated Beginner because the self-healing is incredibly forgiving. Even if you take hits, Taker's Flames heals you back up. The only requirement is defeating Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, which is made easy by the Serpent-Hunter spear provided in the fight.

Equipment

Weapons

Blasphemous Blade — Your primary weapon. Taker's Flames weapon art is the centerpiece, dealing massive fire damage in a wide cone and healing you. Passive HP on kill makes exploration effortless.

Winged Scythe — Early-game weapon with FTH scaling and a weapon art that prevents healing. Great until you get Blasphemous Blade.

Armor

Veteran's Set — Excellent balance of defense and weight. Solid poise without requiring excessive Endurance investment. Found in the Roundtable Hold shop after defeating the Elden Beast.

Talismans

Shard of Alexander — 15% weapon art damage boost. Directly buffs Taker's Flames.

Flock's Canvas Talisman — 8% incantation damage boost for your buff spells and any offensive incantations you cast.

Erdtree's Favor — HP, stamina, and equip load. Always valuable.

Carian Filigreed Crest — Reduces weapon art FP cost. More Taker's Flames per Flask.

Key Incantations

Golden Vow — +15% attack and defense for 80 seconds. Always buff before bosses.

Flame, Grant Me Strength — +20% physical and fire damage for 30 seconds. Stacks with Golden Vow for devastating burst.

Erdtree Heal — Massive AoE heal for co-op play and emergency situations.

Progression Tips

Early Game (SL 1-50): Start Prophet for high base FTH. Grab the Winged Scythe from the Weeping Peninsula immediately — it carries through mid-game. Focus on Vigor to 25, then push FTH to 30 for Flame, Grant Me Strength.

Mid Game (SL 50-80): Defeat Rykard at Volcano Manor for the Blasphemous Blade. The Serpent-Hunter spear provided in the fight makes this possible at any level. Once equipped, the build comes online. Push FTH to 50.

Late Game (SL 80+): Max FTH to 60 for full scaling. Get Shard of Alexander from Alexander's questline. With both buffs active, Taker's Flames hits like a truck while healing you to full.

Alternative Options

Coded Sword — Pure Holy damage straight sword with unblockable weapon art. Good secondary weapon for enemies resistant to fire.

Lightning Spear — Fast, ranged incantation for pulling enemies. Good supplement to Taker's Flames for longer-range engagements.

Godfrey Icon — 15% charged spell and weapon art damage. A strong option if you charge Taker's Flames often.
